The present time marks the long-awaited era where our virtual existence (Metaverse) holds a comparable significance to our physical world, as many of us have dreamed of.

The metaverse, a new stage in the development of technology and social interaction, is a popular topic in the technology world and is gaining interest from both consumers and consumer brands. Executives are also starting to consider its potential for their companies’ growth, talent strategies, and opportunities.

This is evident in the recent surge of interest in the Metaverse, sparked by Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement of his plans to transform Facebook into a Metaverse company. Various companies, including Microsoft and Epic Games, have since followed suit by revealing their own initiatives, and the concept has become a significant topic across different industries.

The metaverse concept originated in the Avalanche, an open, programmable platform for decentralized applications, which imagines a digital realm parallel to the real world where people have digital avatars and interact and live in a 3D immersive space. The concept incorporates various technological elements such as 5G, AI, blockchain, and content creation.

Venture capitalist, Matthew Ball, who has written extensively about the Metaverse, suggests that this next phase involves dimensionalizing our self-representations through visual avatars within a virtual environment, which allows for a more expressive form of communication.

So, what is the Metaverse?

In essence, the metaverse refers to any online experience that is virtual, 3D, immersive, and persistent, allowing users to play, work, connect, and make purchases, among other activities. It’s a kind of immersive and interactive virtual world, often depicted in science fiction movies and literature, where users can interact with each other and with digital objects. It exists outside of the physical world.

Five things to know about the Metaverse

The metaverse is the internet but in 3D

It can be a force for good

It has a place in the future of work

We should start with societal impact and work back

Think big, start small, and test often

How does it work?

The Metaverse works by combining virtual and physical reality to create a seamless, immersive experience for users. It is typically accessed through a virtual reality headset or other devices, which allow users to experience the virtual environment as if they were actually present in it.

What are the key features?

We envision the metaverse as a continuously developing and growing realm encompassing a range of digitally enhanced environments, realities, and commercial strategies.

Over the next decade, it is poised to transform almost every aspect of life and commerce by offering novel virtual experiences, augmented physical spaces, or a combination of both. This transformation will bring about new business opportunities and affect consumers, employees, and the entire operational structure of enterprises.

The beginning of a new digital universe is evident, starting with the growth of Web 3.0, which serves as a foundation for connecting various digital spaces, enabling users to have a more intelligent web experience.

Blockchain technology is at the forefront of driving Web 3.0, allowing applications to be built on a decentralized state machine maintained by anonymous internet nodes, which gives the user control. Users can share information only when necessary and with their permission.

As the concept becomes more user-friendly and technology becomes more accessible, virtual experiences will blend more seamlessly with physical ones, allowing more people to participate in this shared digital landscape.

Metaverse

This connection between millions of businesses and consumers will result in a range of benefits, including increased productivity, enhanced efficiency, and improved customer experience. There may also be:

Shared virtual spaces: It allows people to share virtual spaces, where they can interact with each other and with digital objects.

Immersive experiences: It provides an immersive experience that simulates real-world interactions, allowing users to feel as if they are actually present in the virtual space.

User-generated content: It allows users to create their own content, including avatars, objects, and environments.

Virtual economy: It has its own virtual economy, where users can buy, sell, and trade digital assets and currency.

What are the potential applications of the Metaverse?

The Metaverse has the potential to revolutionize many aspects of our lives, including:

Entertainment: The Metaverse could provide a new form of entertainment, where users can interact with each other in virtual spaces and participate in shared experiences.

Are you familiar with the newest AI chatbot? OpenAI’s ChatGPT, an AI chatbot backed by Microsoft, has caused a stir in the tech industry. Nevertheless, Google intends to maintain its search supremacy and has revealed its own chatbot, Bard, which will soon be launched worldwide.

Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, announced in a blog post that Bard is now available to a chosen group of reliable testers, and its goal is to provide a conversational interface for the “breadth of the world’s knowledge.” Bard is based on a smaller version of LaMDA, which Google introduced in May of the same year. Google intends to use Bard to obtain feedback from more users and overcome any obstacles in terms of response quality and accuracy.

Google and OpenAI are both developing their chatbots using text generation software, however, it presents several challenges. Chatbots are prone to spreading misinformation and using negative language sourced from the internet. Overcoming these obstacles and incorporating updated information will be a challenge in developing efficient and innovative products using this technology.

Are you curious about Google’s decision to incorporate Bard into their search engine, which is a significant source of revenue for the company?

If so, get ready for some exciting news.

It is worth noting that during Sundar Pichai’s presentation, there was no mention of any plans to incorporate Bard into the search box. Instead, he showcased a unique and cautious utilization of the underlying AI technology to improve conventional search. In cases where there is no definite answer, Google will generate a response that reflects diverse viewpoints.

For example,

the query “Is it easier to learn the piano or the guitar?” would be met with “Some say the piano is easier to learn due to the natural finger and hand movements, while others argue that the guitar is easier to learn with its chords.”

ChatGPT

Google intends to provide developers with access to the core technology through an API, similar to how OpenAI made ChatGPT available, but the exact timeline remains uncertain.

The emergence of ChatGPT has led to speculation that Google’s dominance in web searches may be challenged. This is especially frustrating for some of Google’s AI specialists who contributed to the development of ChatGPT’s technology.

Although LaMDA’s technology has potential, Google is proceeding with caution in integrating it into their products due to the risk of bias and harmful language that can be learned by AI models trained on web text.

AI specialists caution that chatbots have limitations, including an inability to comprehend the information they provide and a propensity to create false data. This may be a concern for some of Google’s AI experts, as they played a role in ChatGPT’s development. However, Google has been cautious in incorporating LaMDA’s AI technology due to the risk of producing false information, exhibiting bias based on race and gender, and repeating offensive language. ChatGPT’s emergence has motivated Google to accelerate its timeline for integrating text generation capabilities into its products.

What is Deno?

As an alternative to the well-known NodeJS, Deno is a contemporary Javascript runtime environment. Deno was developed by the same person who developed NodeJS, Ryan Dahl. The goal of the project is to solve some of Node’s shortcomings that have emerged in the thirteen years after its release.

Deno is more in line with current coding requirements. Decentralized package management is available, TypeScript and WebAssembly support are built-in, and security is given priority. Unless you specifically allow it, Deno runs code in a sandbox without access to the file system or the network.

NodeJS is fantastic and will remain the de facto standard in the JavaScript community. However, because of Deno’s superior TypeScript support and cutting-edge standard library, it will eventually gain popularity.

Some of DenoJS’s distinctive qualities that set it apart from NodeJS are as follows:

Deno is based on modern features of the JavaScript language

The feature has an extensive standard library

It has TypeScript at its core, which brings a huge advantage in many different ways, including first-class TypeScript support (you don’t have to separately compile TypeScript, it’s automatically done by Deno)

Deno embraces ES modules

No package manager

First-class await

It has a built-in testing facility

Deno aims to be browser-compatible as much as it can, for example by providing a built-in fetch and the global window object

A little bit on NodeJS

NodeJS was created to handle asynchronous requests to the web server. For instance, NodeJS handles opening files by sending them to the file system and quickly returning them to work.

Node.js Architecture

After the file system responds to earlier queries, servers merely send responses (in this case, the file’s contents) to clients. As a result, NodeJS uses less memory and handles requests more quickly.

NodeJS is also capable of gathering form data, producing dynamic pages, and carrying out all server-side file actions including opening, closing, reading, writing, and deleting as well as adding, removing, or updating database data.

A better version of NodeJS, Deno, was created to take care of NodeJS’ deficiencies. It enhances the security of JavaScript runtime environments.

Check out our NodeJS-specific solutions here.

Deno vs NodeJS: Similarities and differences

The most used JavaScript runtime outside of web browsers is NodeJS. Because of its widespread use, you can access a top-notch community of knowledgeable developers. Built on npm, the NodeJS package ecosystem is extensive and simple to maintain. This implies that Node is frequently the best option if compatibility and familiarity are your main considerations.

However, Node hasn’t gotten everything right. Deno makes advancements in a number of crucial areas, especially those related to security and standards compliance. Because Deno is a single binary, it is more portable than Node, and the open-ended module architecture may become the standard for dependent imports in the future.

The only similarities between them are that they both are developed upon the V8 Chromium Engine and Both are great for developing server-side with Javascript.

On the other hand, DenoJS stands apart from the NodeJS in following ways:

Typescript support:

The TypeScript language extends JavaScript by enabling customers to provide type data. By using a TypeScript compiler with caching techniques, Deno comes with TypeScript out of the box.

Permissions:

In addition to supporting JavaScript and TypeScript, Deno is known for its secure runtimes. The permissions system plays a part in maintaining security. Deno allows the following permissions list:

–allow-env=<allow-env> – allows all environment access like getting and setting of environment variables.

–allow-hrtime – measures time with high resolution.

–allow-net=<allow-net> – allows network access.

–allow-ffi – allows you to load dynamic libraries, it does not have the same security reasons as others since it does not run in sandbox. Use with caution because it is an unstable feature.

–allow-read=<allow-read> – Read access to the file system is allowed. To provide an allow-list of files and directories you can specify a comma-separated list.

–allow-run=<allow-run> – Running subprocesses is allowed. The Deno 1.9 release adds the ability to specify an optional, comma-separated list of subprocesses to be allowed. In contrast to the Deno process, subprocesses are not run in a sandbox and therefore have fewer security restrictions.

–allow-write=<allow-write> – Write access to the file system is allowed. To provide an allow-list of permitted file system access, you can specify a comma-separated list of directories or files

-A, –allow-all – Allow all permissions. This enables all security-sensitive functions. Use with caution.

Browser Compatibility:

Browser compatibility makes it easy for developers to build applications that can be run in both the browser and Deno.

As much as possible, Deno will use web platform APIs (such as fetch) instead of introducing proprietary APIs wherever possible.

Deno implements the following web platform APIs:

Fetch API: The fetch API provides an interface that allows you to make HTTP requests to servers from web browsers. It requires only one parameter, the URL of the resource that you want to fetch.

Web Worker API: In web applications, Web Workers enable script execution in a background thread separate from the main execution thread.

Standard Library:

Among Deno’s features is a large standard library of modules evaluated by the core development team. There are no external dependencies on any of the modules in the standard library.

The Deno standard library provides a set of modules that are used for a variety of tasks, including:

Making HTTP requests for Deno

Working with the file system

Prints formatted output with helpers

Test and benchmarking your code using basic utilities.

Helpers are included for handling XML, CSV, base64, YAML, and binary files

Deno vs Node.js

Installing Deno:

Deno is delivered as a single executable that bundles all of its own dependencies. Direct downloads or the majority of well-liked package managers are options for Windows, macOS, and Linux users.

-The installation script is the simplest route to get Deno running on Mac and Linux systems:

$ curl -fsSL https://deno.land/install.sh | sh

This will install Deno to the
.deno
folder inside your home directory. Add this location to your
PATH
so you can use the
deno
command without specifying the full path to your binary. Edit your
~/.bashrc
(or equivalent for your shell) and add the following lines at the bottom:

export DENO_INSTALL="$HOME/.deno"

export PATH="$PATH:$DENO_INSTALL/bin"

-Open a new shell window and try the
deno
command:

$ deno
Deno 1.24.2
exit using ctrl+d or close()
>

-You’ll be dropped into an interactive REPL where you can run JavaScript code:

> console.log("Hello World");
Hello World
undefined

-Exit the REPL by pressing Ctrl+D or calling
close()
:

> close()

You can run an existing JavaScript file with the
deno run
command:

$ echo "console.log('Hello World');" > hello.js
$ deno run hello.js
Hello World

Follow this guide to know more about DenoJS installation procedures and other processes.

The bigger picture:

Why Deno? Are the problems with NodeJS so big that we need a new system? Well, no. Many people won’t even consider them to be problems, but there is a central idea behind Deno that makes its existence reasonable and design choices understandable:

Node deviates significantly from the browser’s way of doing things.

For instance, the browser will ask the user for permission when a website requests the right to capture audio. NodeJS did not have these kinds of permissions, but Deno reinstates them.

Even with the implementational specifics, this is the overarching theme. In order to reduce friction while transferring libraries from the front-end to the back-end or vice versa, DenoJS aims to be as near to the browser as possible. The status of the application as it was in Node has a significant impact on the overall picture, but Deno makes sure that the application has all the pertinent data required for application deployment.

Should you learn DenoJS?

Well, maybe, and maybe not.

Deno may be a better option for new apps that don’t need to communicate with a lot of existing code. It is a production-ready technology with a comprehensive set of integrated development tools and a large standard library to support it. With Deno, you can develop the functionality of your application more quickly by utilizing tools like TypeScript while reusing a larger amount of your work across many platforms.

Then what’s holding Deno back? Although Deno’s community is active, it is still quite small. Deno-specific packages are quite rare, and the NodeJS compatibility layer isn’t always reliable. This could leave you at a disadvantage if you want to use a particular library or if you need some support.

Deno will get better with time as it gets more and more compatible with NodeJS. So until then, keep an eye out.

Conclusion:

To put it mildly, Deno is an interesting project. We only have the initial stable version, and there is still much work to be done. For instance, they are working diligently to enhance the TypeScript compiler’s performance. In addition, the ‘—unstable’ parameter hides many APIs. The upcoming releases could alter these. Deno is a project worth following because of the principles like TypeScript’s first modules that work in browsers.

Now that the initial unviable offerings of blockchain have vanished, the technology is making a palpable imprint on a variety of sectors. It is obvious that the most famous use case for blockchain is still cryptocurrencies, but its impact has since grown exponentially, modernizing everything from large enterprises in global supply chains to small merchant businesses. While other industries swept up in waves of disruption by blockchain, the energy industry has been slow to embrace change. The introduction of blockchain promises to speed things up and radically transform the industry’s processes and markets. Our article examines the impact of blockchain for <g class="gr_ gr_19 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="19" data-gr-id="19">energy</g> industry and how it has the potential to change the world as we know it.

Blockchain in Energy Sector

Energy Blockchain Startups Raised $324 Million in the Last Year.

GreenTech Media

As more intermittent renewable energy flows into the grid and customers connect new equipment to produce, store, and consume energy, the need for platforms to manage increasingly complex energy systems is rising. Blockchain-based systems have potential to play a major role here.

Blockchain could be a major game changer for the energy industry.

Recognizing this, diverse entities have recently launched ventures to harness blockchain in different and unique ways, including both for-profit and nonprofit undertaking. Around half of them use a public blockchain; the other half use private blockchains. Most of these ventures are centered around “peer-to-peer” energy transactions and cryptocurrency-based electricity offers, but the range of applications also cover unique use-cases like the management of electric vehicles (EV) charging, or of renewable energy certificates. Here is a brief look at some actual use-cases of blockchain technology in the energy industry.

Microgrids

The traditional electrical supply models are challenged by microgrids. The term refers to a localised grid that can disconnect from the main grid and operate autonomously. It uses local sources of energy to serve local users, integrating the supply of energy from various producers, including local power generators and providers of renewable energy such as solar power. Consumers with their own energy production capabilities (wind turbines or solar energy systems) can sell their surplus energy production back to peers in the microgrid, on a pay-per-use basis (becoming ‘prosumers’). While physical microgrids are rare, virtual microgrids are on the rise using peer-to-peer energy trading.

<g class="gr_ gr_35 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="35" data-gr-id="35">Blockchain</g> is becoming the key element in this transformation of electricity supply. It provides a distributed ledger to members of a peer-to-peer energy network (microgrids). It offers a reliable, low-cost digital platform for creating, validating, recording and settling energy transactions in real time across a localized and decentralized energy system. The technology’s relatively low transaction costs allow smaller energy producers to sell excess energy to their peers in the grid. This increases their share in market, and grid efficiency. Smart contracts facilitate the coordination of production data from solar panels and other installations, and execute sales contracts that allow for two-way energy flows throughout the network.

Renewable Energy Certificates

The small-scale green generators must make do with whatever price their local utility pays them because of the following two reasons:

The certification process for RECs is cumbersome and expensive for small <g class="gr_ gr_22 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="22" data-gr-id="22">suppliers,</g> and has physical audits.

Power purchase agreements can only be negotiated by large green generators.

The price that local utilities pay can be volatile due to meddling by legislators as well as by the utilities themselves. Thus, the small green generators are exposed to higher levels of risk than the bigger players.

Blockchain can help here by storing generation certificates that are created by tamper-proof meters attached to solar panels. They could also store transaction records when the certificates are traded, so that the same unit of generation cannot be resold. By eliminating auditors, transaction costs and price regulation, this solution makes renewable-energy investment attractive even for small players. Introducing blockchain for RECs could reduce the cost of certification, eliminate onerous auditing and avoid non-market price controls, so that even a small-scale green generator could de-risk investments.

Sustainability

One of the most immediate applications of blockchain to the energy sector is its use in record and trade attributes of sustainability. Examples of such attributes include whether a unit of electricity is renewable and how much emissions resulted from its production. The current systems to track such attributes are centrally managed, complicated, and prone to fraud.

Suggested Case Study: Learn how Deqode created a blockchain solution to streamline the process involved in energy supply

Moreover, the compartmentalization of platforms prevents seamless trading of attributes across regions. A decentralized blockchain network could enable transparent, accurate, and frictionless tracking and trading of these attributes, which would accelerate clean energy deployment and carbon emissions reduction.

Energy Financing

The use of blockchain and cryptocurrencies to raise funds for energy projects is not new to start-ups. These startups have an ICO to raise funds, to then develop, say, a peer-to-peer trading platform. They could raise funds for energy projects (which tend, overwhelmingly, to be clean energy projects). They may broaden the pool of potential investors in renewable energy projects by enabling a multitude of smaller investors to supply capital. Blockchain funding ecosystems might enable smaller investors and individuals to invest in projects to which they otherwise would lack access. The cost of solar and wind projects has fallen steeply. Large institutional investors and major corporations are becoming increasingly comfortable with investing in renewable energy projects.

Blockchain potential from a regulatory perspective

Blockchain could potentially have benefits for the energy industry from a regulatory perspective:

Verification

Blockchain could present the option to clearly verify the source of energy. It has the capability to provide clear and verifiable records of energy. This will make blockchain the first technology to make it possible for the source of energy to be determined. This would also make it easier to issue certificates for emission allowances and energy efficiency improvements, which would <g class="gr_ gr_16 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation replaceWithoutSep" id="16" data-gr-id="16">in turn</g> simplify the complex systems currently used.

Clearing and Settlement

It is not only prosumers who may stand to benefit – but also transmission system operators. Using blockchains would allow them to clearly attribute clearing data to individual market participants. The planned introduction of smart meters will only help to allocate consumption quantities to a balancing group and to the electricity suppliers using that balancing group. A blockchain-based system would make it possible for the energy consumed to be clearly traced back to the point where it was generated. Overall, this would lead to significant cost reductions, with end users directly benefiting from a more efficient system.

Opportunities and Issues from a Consumer’s Perspective

Consumers would benefit from greater transparency and flexibility that blockchain provides. Because of:

Lower transaction costs due to the elimination of intermediaries

A larger number of market participants

The energy prices will start falling. Blockchain could replace some intermediaries currently operating and lead to a fall in transaction costs.

The possibility to fine-tune network operations, deployment of smart meters, smart contracts, and other new technologies will enhance flexibility. It will also promote customisation across all segments of energy consumption and sales. All of this could lead to <g class="gr_ gr_40 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="40" data-gr-id="40">following</g> benefits for consumers:

Lower transaction costs due to the cutting out of intermediaries

Falling prices as a result of greater market transparency

Simple options for customers to become a service/electricity provider

Simple transactions (documentation, contracts, payment)

Conclusion

The existing solutions, however, face a few problems from consumers’ perspective:

High transaction costs and low speed for public blockchain systems

Possibly lack of acceptance on the part of consumers due to the thought of safety issues

No authority in the case of disputes, no direct possibility of escalating conflicts

<g class="gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="6" data-gr-id="6">Deqode’s</g> blockchain platform – Nucleus takes care of all these problems. It provides a fast interface with techniques that lead to low transaction cost. Nucleus also implements several encryption techniques that ensure data safety. It has a unique consensus algorithm that ensures easy, automated decision making in case of disputes.

With a four-billion-dollar ICO and everyone in the blockchain community raving about it, EOS took the blockchain sphere by storm in 2018. The credit clearly goes to its father, Dan Larimer – the mastermind behind various other mainstream blockchain projects such as Bitshares and Steemit. However, due to the success of these well-marketed ones, one of Dan’s projects has always been ignored: Graphene blockchain. The blockchain community is privy to the fact that EOS, Bitshares, and Steemit would have never seen the light of day if Dan hadn’t come up with Graphene, one of the most scalable blockchains.

But because of a lack of documentation, the potential of this underrated gem is still isn’t realized in the circle.

So, here’s a handy guide for those who wish to understand and learn about Graphene blockchain. Keep in mind that this article is the first in the <g class="gr_ gr_59 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling" id="59" data-gr-id="59">duology</g> of our graphene blockchain tutorial. If you want to read these articles in a series, here’s the link to open the second one in a new tab.

Consensus in Graphene Blockchain

As most of us know, Bitcoin and Ethereum are based on POW consensus mechanism, where all the nodes can participate in the competition of adding blocks to the blockchain. The POW mechanism seems completely decentralized on paper, but in reality, with increasing load on the system – outgrows the computational power needed to mine these blocks. At a certain point, it becomes nearly impossible for a person with a desktop computer to add any value to the system. In such scenarios, only huge mining rigs and pools are able to mine and add blocks.

It is clear that Ethereum in its current form is not completely decentralized as the three major rigs/pools contribute to more than 50% of blocks produced.

POW based blockchains are facing a major backlash. This is due to the amount of power being used in the mining process. As reported by CBS, the Bitcoin network alone consumes more electricity than 159 individual countries, including Ireland.

With these drawbacks, there was always a growing need for a less power hungry and more decentralized consensus mechanism. This is where DPOS stepped up.

The Delegated Proof of Stake Consensus (DPOS)

Graphene blockchain is based on the DPOS consensus mechanism, where ‘N’ number of witnesses are selected via continuous voting by stakeholders to produce blocks. This ‘N’ is an odd number. Only these witnesses produce the blocks in their respective time slots until the next maintenance interval. After the maintenance interval, the algorithm chooses the next set of witnesses based on the voting results. It is important to understand here that:

Only stakeholders can participate in the voting process

One stakeholder can only vote one witness.

Apart from witnesses, the stakeholders also elect delegates who have the privilege of proposing changes to the network parameters. These changes range from something as simple as transaction fees – to the number of elected witnesses. A particular majority of delegates approve the proposed changes. Post this, a two week period is given to the stakeholders. During this, they may vote out the delegates and veto the proposed changes (note that these network changes aren’t very likely to be proposed).

Thus, under DPOS it is safe to assume that the administrative authority rests in the hands of the users, just like a democracy. But unlike witnesses, the delegates are not compensated for retaining their positions.

Testnet Setup

Let us kick this off by running a <g class="gr_ gr_28 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="28" data-gr-id="28">testnet</g> on your local setup. Firstly, you have to install boost libraries in your system. You can install them from here:

https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene/wiki/build-ubuntu

Clone this repo: https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene.git. After that, clone the sub-modules by this command:

git submodule update –init –recursive

Make the build by the following steps:

cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug -DCMAKE_C_FLAGS=”-fpermissive” .
make

Once the build is successful, create the genesis file

mkdir -p genesis
programs/witness_node/witness_node –create-genesis-JSON genesis/my-genesis.json

Edit the genesis.json file accordingly. For instance, you could specify how much accounts should be there initially, maintenance interval time, ’N’ – the number of witnesses, initial balances in accounts etc.

Then, start the witness-node with the following command depending on the number of witnesses you have initialized in my-genesis.json

./witness_node –RPC-endpoint “127.0.0.1:8090″ –enable-stale-production –genesis-JSON genesis/my-genesis.json -w \””1.6.0″\” \””1.6.1″\” \””1.6.2″\” \””1.6.3″\” \””1.6.4″\”
graphene_node_start

Boom! You now have Graphene blockchain’s testnet running on your system.

You now have a basic understanding of Graphene blockchain’s DPOS consensus. Please click here to navigate to the next article in the series, where we will discuss about more concepts like multi-node setup and smart contracts on Graphene.
